Our Competitions
This page lists out the competitions that we hold each season with a brief description about them.
League
The league format for the 2024/25 season has changed. Instead of having a Division 1 and Division 2 for the entirety of the season, we have decided to trial a new split season format. First Half of the Season: All teams will play each other once, either home or away. The usual points will be awarded and a league table of all participating teams will be constructed. At the end of this, the league will be used to form Division 1 and Division 2. The top half will form Division 1 and the bottom half Division 2 (in the event of there being an odd number of teams, the extra team will go into Division 2). Second Half of the Season: The points accrued from the first half will carry over to the second half. Every team will then play every other team in their division a further time and the champions will be crowned on this combined score.

The knockout cup is simply a cup with a straight knockout format. Winners will go through to the next round and the losers drop out. First round losers will be placed into the knockout plate competition. The questions format is the same as for the league.
Knockout Plate
First round losers of the knockout cup are placed into the knockout plate competition. The format is the same with winners progressing and losers departing.

The handicap cup is designed to allow all teams to compete evenly for a cup competition. Each team is given a handicap based on average points scored per match across the first half of the season. The better a team scores, the lower their handicap. Please see below for the latest handicaps.
